I've got really nice people as customers. The lady whose bathroom I was working on has invited me and my family to lunch today and another customer is helping her. Can't get better than that.

but thats only because she feels guilty ! if you think about it if it wasnt for her you wouldnt be off loosing money now ! but yer make sure you have dessert !

To be fair to Colin if the joined hadn't drilled through the pipe he wouldn't be in this situation

Haven't heard from him and as he wasn't employed by me I don't know him. The customer had him there on a separate job and I was going home for the day when he cut through the pipe. Being a decent sort I stayed to fix it.

Lunch was delicious and that's appreciation enough for me. Even my kids enjoyed themselves today and had chocolate cake!

Some people would just have got someone else to finish the bathroom, but today I got paid and had both a really nice lunch and enjoyable day and she wants only me to finish the work in 6 weeks. Customers like that restore your faith in this industry.

its bad enough I've got to talk to customers let alone socialise with the morons

Fair play for them doing that, its one less thing to worry and stress over that they will wait and are happy to wait for you to go back.

Thats just really made me laugh.

I saw a BG customer I stopped a leak for in sainsburys a while back and she wouldn't stop talking to me.

I hated every minute of it :)

I am not there mate, give me my money shut up and f..... off. Call me when you have another problem.

I hate that, I have nothing to say to them other than about work.

I kept bumping into the same customer in a bar I go to quite a bit, or should I say used to go to. Keep seeing him there put me off going, theres only so many times I can ask how his boilers going after I fixed it for him. Yet he always feels the need to come up to me and start a conversation saying thanks for fixing my boiler.

Not licking your Harris but you must be a Red Hot Plumber for customer base like that, fair play

Sounds like just another day at the Wimins Institute.....they do care in the comunity days.

I've got some great customers, nothing quite as extravagant as Colin's. But I agree it does make the job nicer when you work for decent people, especially when they pay on time!

Either that or they've paid a huge deposit!!
Never got paid a penny until today and she paid me today for 3/4 of the total invoice without asking.

Just thoroughly nice people as are most of the customers I have.

I once had a customer who would fk my brains out, quite brilliant she was at it too
I had always to go back later and get the cash from her man. I'm sure what she enjoyed most was watching him pay me!

I got fed up with her games after a while and would tell her i was too busy. I think eventually she found another victim

Hi guys. I'm trying to identify a toilet model before ordering a seat for a customer. I went to what used to be a Roca stockist (they no longer are) and one of the guys there reckoned it might be "The Gap". I went to the new stockist and the guy there disagreed it was "The Gap" and that he'd...

I have a plumber coming tomorrow to change a cartridge on a badly dripping tap on my bathroom mixer unit. There is no separate isolating valve for this tap so I'll have to close the stopcock. I tried closing it today but it won't go absolutely 100% closed and there is still a very slight flow...

Hi, Can anyone advise as to why the cold water to my bathroom keeps airlocking? This originally happened about 12 months ago and has happened 3-4 times since. It’s an upstairs bathroom, fed from a tank in the attic. The tank is about 8 Meters away and feeds a bath, sink and toilet. The tank...
