Boulter camray 15/21 leaking water

Hi this is my first post so I'm sorry if this may have already been covered, I'm a bit stressed out atm after having a leaking roof which I was quoted 1000 to repair, I've found that my old boiler is leaking water :-(, we've only just bought the house abs the owners said they had the boiler serviced before we moved in but by the looks of it they haven't,
The problem is there is a constant drip coming from the door that is hinged which is where the flame abs burning happens I guess, I had someone come look at it but they just said I need a new boiler lol, that isn't an option atm as money is tight especially with the roof I have to pay for, I opened the door and can see water inside there but not sure where is coming from?
I just wondered if any one can help with this or have any one had this before?
My friend said I could try come heating system sealer to try and slow it down until next year when I can get a new one, if I knew the source of the leak I may be able to fix it.

Hi thanks for your reply I will tomorrow when the light is better, the water gathering in the chamber where the flame must burn its the main box that the burner bolts on to which I guess the water runs around in

You might have a leaking boiler, but it is possible to have rain water accumulating inside the boiler from a gap at flue, so need to rule that out first. The water could be syphoned out of the boiler base using a piece of hose, or wet vac. Then you might see the leak inside

Thanks a lot for your advice, I'll check that on tomorrow after work as these autumn evenings are usually, if it's the worst case and the boiler is leaking, could it be salvaged at all or is it a new boiler time, the man that looked at it said it's rusted through but I don't think he knew what he was on about really

If it is leaking inside the shell, it's probably new boiler time.
If a leak was outside, sometimes they can be welded, but that often is only buying some time and putting off the inevitable I find. Often a big effort and time loss to remove and refit an old boiler
System and boiler could also be corroded inside. New boiler would use less oil.

Thanks again for your help I really appreciate it, I would love to buy a new one but I think next year I'll be in a position to do I'll have to get through the winter I think, is that heating system sealer any good? Like rad weld stuff, if it hot really bad what would be the best thing to do? Can I just shut the system down? I have a wood burner but it doesn't heat the whole house unfortunately. What a rough price for fitting of a new combi oil boiler?

Lol I thought it would be about that, if the leaking gets real bad how can I shut it down abs cut the water supply to it? I'd shut the oil off at the tank because I can see there's a tap there
