anyone know if spares are around for this machine. It was bought in the late 1990's and the 3 way valve has finally given up.
tried emailing BSS who made it but as usual these companies have been taken over so are no help.
thanks

I would take the pump to BSS and see if they have or can get anything to fit

Post a picture.

Bss buy other products and rebrand them

thank you i have attached photo. ( I think!)

I would of said that looks like a kamco

Looks identical to my Kamco CF30 except the colour of the bottle.

thanks all, been in touch with Kamco and they confirm its a 'knock-off' of the CF30, but mine has a single dump valve and thats now broken.
i think i will have to make up mine own and see if i can convert it to a double dump valved machine

Kamco do a conversion for theirs. Did they not want to sell you the parts?

have just asked them and waiting for a reply but i have replaced a lot of the parts myself as they have broken over time. I'm a plumber so should be able to make up a valve or two!

I'm sure one of the chaps on here with a cf30 would give you a serial number to order parts with. Or you could just play the 'ooh serial number is damaged and unreadable' trick

Didn't know they had serial numbers, I'll have a look 2moro and PM it to you if you want.

I don't need a serial number. I'm just tryin to help you out

thanks - Kamco been in touch again and siad that my machine has had the thread altered etc...
so its probably a no go with them.

Can't see that being true

probably - this is what they said
Sorry, but we never used valves like that – or solvent welded joints – too fragile according to us.
I believe they even modified the flow reverser threads from that used on ours so to do any sort of conversion you’d have to start from the flow reverser upwards and outwards.

but having said that they came up with a contact name and address for a firm that handles the pumps.
so 10 out of 10 for their customer service.
if i wasnt so near retirement ( next year!!!) I would buy a new one and would certainly consider a Kamco on the basis of customer care.

quick update - BSS have replied and yes they have refered me to Kamco!
talk about going in circles

Hello, I am seeking some advice, I have a POTTERTON PROMAX 28 COMBI Boiler and I noticed yesterday that the water around the house is no longer warming up. The heat exchanger has been changed 6 months ago, so I do not believe it is that. Does anyone have any ideas on what it could be? Thanks

We run a community village hall and have a large kitchen provided for the use of hirers. This includes a Lincat SLR9 gas cooker which I believe is a 23.8Kw appliance with all six burners and oven on max. This was installed some 10 years ago and has passed all subsequent Gas Safety inspections as...

I was stupid enough not to check the position of the pipes under the tiles when installing a toilet and drilled right through the center of a 16 mm copper water pipe. I exposed the pipe by removing a ~30cm section of the plastic sleeve and a ~10 cm section of the pipe around the hole. Several...
