Hi,

I am not sure if I have an issue to be worried about or im just been paranoid. I had a leak in my boiler recently which has been fixed (or seems to have been, the spot where it was leaking is now dry)

The plumber/engineer left last Friday with boiler repressurised up to about 1.4/1.5 since then i've been looking at the guage every other hour in a paranoid state!! So its now Thursday and the pressure has dropped to around 1.3- it seems like it mainly drops when I use the shower but can't say for certain

Any help/putting my mind at ease is much appreciated!

Thanks

The pressure will vary depending on the temperature of the water in your system.

If the engineer topped up when the rest of the system was warm and it's cool now, then it's going to show a lower pressure.

If you're on a combo system the pressure may drop slightly when the shower is running because of the pressure changes when the circulation pump kicks in.

There's always the possibility of a second leak, however I'd say it's nothing to worry about at this point. Keep an eye on it over the next couple of weeks and if it drops below 1 Bar, top it back up and get your engineer back to look for another leak.
