Hello everyone , just see if anyone has any advice on the best places and ways to advertise my little part time private business I’m starting in gas and heating . I work for a company full time , but would like to have a few jobs every now and then as well privately , but struggling to get people . Everyone I’ve spoke to says “word of mouth” but that’s quite hard in my scenario as no one really knows I’m doing private jobs . Any advice would be much appreciated !

i know a local plumber who uses facebook and gets jobs off there, if thats any help,
for us all our work is by word, and a couple of companies that use us all the time,

Starting out is very tough. You need to have to spend money on advertising, business cards, insurances, registration, HMRC registration etc

BUT you need to check your employment contract as many forbid working on the side so you may be sacked
