Hi,

I turned my central heating on for the first time today this year and it started to bang and the flame inside looked a bit erratic. Upon looking in the pilot light viewer it looks like there is debris/embers burning resting on the bottom. I turned everything off and switched it back on to check the fault lights and the banging has stopped.

But is this something I should be concerned about and what could the problem be?

I'll attach a photo of the pilot light so you can see what I mean.

p.s. its been on about 1 hrs now without any problem.

Thanks.

your boiler needs a gas reg engineer to come and clean it all out as soon as posable
it should not be like that.
