Discuss Attaching solar panel / hot water tank thermostat in the Plumbing Jobs | The Job-board area at PlumbersForums.net

I have a hot water system that was professionally fitted. It has a pocket into which an additional thermostat for the solar panel can be placed. The wires were left trailing and the thermostat came out. Two questions, firstly is it OK to tape the thermostat wires to the pipework to keep the wires secure? second question what is the best way of securing the thermostat in the pocket?

Many thanks
Ken

Do you have a piccie Ken, I can suggest something if I can see your cylinder pocket

Hi,
Here's the photo. I wondered about a rubber bung like home brewers use?
Thanks Ken

yes thats fine or you could wittle a piece of wood down

That used to be one of my favourite things, watching/playing village cricket and whilst waiting to ‘bat’ whittling away with my Swiss Army knife.

Hi, Can anyone advise as to why the cold water to my bathroom keeps airlocking? This originally happened about 12 months ago and has happened 3-4...
