hi guys

i am mature learner
i am 31 years old male
i have no experience in plumbing
i am enrolled at bishop auckland college in durham for an apprenticeship.

i am looking for advice on how to find an employer
in the durham/teesside area.

interested to know wether anybody is looking to take any one on or knows off anyone

and also what the chances of someone employing me based on my age?

thanks

Hello mate and welcome to the forum

I don't think there is any issue with your age unfortunately apprenticeships tend to carry a lower wage which is what puts off many more mature learners. Obviously it goes with the territory in so much as you may well have a mortgage and children. Good luck with it though mate stick at it as an apprenticeship is definitely the way to go. Your chances of employment are probably the same as anybody else doing an apprenticeship as long as the money isn't an issue
