Hi my names David, I'm thirty and looking for a career change, and I'm looking at becoming a registered Gas Safe plumbing and heating engineer.

I am looking for someone to help show me the ropes as part of the training that I am looking to do to become gas safe registered like yourself, as I'm sure you already know this is required as part of the certification.

Of course as a mentor then you will have an extra pair of hands but it will take longer, at the beginning at least, to complete any jobs you are doing, however I will do whatever I can to make sure I'm a help, and not a hindrance as quickly as possible.

I'm keen to make this work and from my previous education as an engineer and experience within business development and project management then I'd hope that I'd be able to repay the favour by providing some of my own knowledge and experience to enhancing your own business.

I'd of course pay for my own training fees, and I'm not expecting any remuneration - although once I am useful any would be well received.

I'm not asking if you would guarantee me a role but would you be interested in meeting up for a chat to see if it'd be something you'd like to help me with or if I would be of any benefit working for you. If so please message me as I'm eager to move forward.

Thanks,

David

Welcome to the forums David, what training have you done so far in the world of plumbing?

Hi thanks for the message, i have no formal experience. I've done property maintenance, and done some repair work, but nothing formal, however im a quick learner.

Thanks,

David
