Came to look at a job where a customer was complaining about the noise from an AGA back boiler and associated cylinder. Removed immersion element, looked inside and found scaled up. Added a descaler (not my usual one) and foam started pouring out of the cylinder.

Moral of the story - never use a cling type descaler!!
