Advance button on a Worcester what does it do

Is the advance button like a boost button it comes on only for 1 hour?thanks

Yes I have thanks. When you press the advance button it will only switches off From the first times set on the programmer? Will I be correct in saying when you press the advance button for the heating to come on depending on the settings on the room stat. The room that has the room stat when it reaches temperature that it has been set at Will the boiler switch off once the room stat is satisfied ?

When you advance the program it will go directly to the next programmed on time.

The programer will not turn the boiler off again until the next program off time is reached.

The room thermostat will continue to operate the boiler as normal during this time. That is
turning the boiler off and on when required by the thermostat.

I hope this is clear.

Heliotrope thanks for explaining it. It now makes sense. How come Worcester boilers don't have a boost button for one hour at a time.
