Hi, I want to put the washing machine in the conservatory but the nearest cold water pipe is the mains one coming into the house with the stopcock on. Is it ok to feed straight off from this one into washing machine? We have a combi boiler and I though all the water, even cold water goes through that first before going to the taps, toilet etc. So im not sure if it is ok to do this.

Appreciate any advice.

Yes that's fine, if you have an internal meter just make sure you tee into the line after the meter

Don't use a self cutting washing machine tap tho

Hi, thanks for the reply. I've done a bit of exploring and can now see it already has a pipes coming off it to feed the appliances and taps in the kitchen. I just thought the mains went starlight into the boiler so you could only feed off from pipes coming out of that.

Sorted now.

Thank you

I was stupid enough not to check the position of the pipes under the tiles when installing a toilet and drilled right through the center of a 16 mm copper water pipe. I exposed the pipe by removing a ~30cm section of the plastic sleeve and a ~10 cm section of the pipe around the hole. Several...
