White buildup around valve

Hi, I have a white buildup around the value on a radiator, does anyone have any advice as to what is causing this? I have attached a photo.

I should add that the raditor itself is not heating.

Looks like a very slight weep that is drying out and leaving a white limescale residue.

Agreed. Nipping up everything there that can nip up might sort it, otherwise you're looking at renewing from the rad tail to the copper.

Im pretty sure that has happened, presume its a risk to leave it?

I'll give that a try, but the weap does appear to have stopped.

Agree with everyone else, I'd change the TRV.

I would change it, if only because we don't know if the joint has leaked or whether the brass itself has become cracked or porous and could fail further.
