Hi Im currently on my ACS training course.

I was wondering if anyone had an easier way of working out ventilation, other than the huge formulas or an app?

Thanks

No not for learning do it long way as you will need to show your workings when exams come

No
Long hand.

It sticks in the brain that way.

You won't be able to use an app during the assessment.

Domestic natural gas ventilation for a single appliance is pretty straightforward: if manufacturer's information is unavailable there's a simple formula for open flue appliances (which works for all open flue appliances except DFEs) and a chart for flueless appliances. Remember that room sealed appliances may need cooling ventilation when they're in a compartment.

Only when there's more than one appliance in the room does it become a little more complicated.

I have a Remeha Tzerra M 24c Plus boiler. It is sitting nice and tight, next to the central ventilation unit/pipeline of the apartment block. That central unit is rather big, I assume around 50cmx50cm and at least 20m tall. So the exhaust ventilation pipe of the boiler goes directly out to this...
