As the title says, I'm looking for anyone who has had any sort of experience with this company good or bad as I have had an advisor round at my house today and I'm thinking of signing up

Hi DAzh09.

I fixed your typo there for you.

The person who came to see you will be a salesman on commission, whose lifestyle directly depends on how many people he/she can sign up to the course. You should treat their "advice" with the same cynicism that you would an estate agent or a used car dealer.

I have no idea whether that particular company is any good or not. However, if you use the forum search facility you will find dozens of threads on the subject of plumbing courses, particularly the "fast track" variety. Spend half a day on your computer readiing them - it will be the best investment of half a day you will ever make.

I have read a lot already, this company say that they are not "fast track" as it will take 2 1/2 years to complete the NVQ level 3.
I'm just not sure about the method of teaching, they say it's similar to how the open university do their courses in that you study from home from books and use the computer to study in virtual 3D scenarios, there is also 11 weeks practical training spread over the 2 1/2 years.
They claim that they can give the NVQ Level 3 without work placement as they have their own facilities that meet the criteria, when I asked for more on this she said that they are constantly buying properties which they convert into student accommodation and they have students on the plumbing course fitting new bathrooms, central heating etc as part of their assessment and they get free labour

Hi guys. I'm trying to identify a toilet model before ordering a seat for a customer. I went to what used to be a Roca stockist (they no longer are) and one of the guys there reckoned it might be "The Gap". I went to the new stockist and the guy there disagreed it was "The Gap" and that he'd...
