Hi. Does anyone know where I can buy a tool to clean all the muck out of the chamber in the street. They are like mini post diggers. My mate had some but they were nicked. Cheers

Something like this. Off amazon made by drapper for about £20

I think this is the type of thing you mean.

Gully Silt Grabs - Horobin

a useful tip is to use a length of pipe,1 1/4", 22, 28mm copper whatever, push it into the silt/ rubbish, should hold in the end of the pipe, then bang it out or push it out with a thinner pipe.
or there is always the old faithful method of squeezing your arm in and lifting the dirt out.

if its in the street why not get the water board to uncover/repair it?

be very careful of needles and glass, some idiots think its a great idea for storage of these types of thing.

tell the water carrier that the chamber has collapsed.
when they have cleared it put a piece of soil pipe down it to prevent it filling again.

I used to carry out maintenance in the Magistrates Courts and every time I lifted a WC cistern I'd find empty wallets and needles. Smack heads must have been robbing people to get their last fix before getting sent down.
