I'm installing a new soil stack for an ensuite backroom and have a few questions I'd appreciate an answer to. I'll be confirming this is ok with Building control etc but would prefer to have a sensible plan!

The soil pipe is designed to run up the side of the house into the underside of a flying gable (breach in fireproof plasterboard guarded by a tumescent collar), does a 90 bend and runs under floor boards to the bathroom area (a run of about 1 meter). I then intend to install a short boss on the branch to feed the bath and sink waste in from the top using 40 or 50 mm pipe e.g. Floplast SP583. This looks ok as per section 1.18 of section H of building regs

a) do I need a rodding point (e.g.Floplast SP581) (or another pit) at the base of the stack before the rest bend (there is already an inspection pit 3 m down slope)

b) is it ok to fit an air admittance valve (higher than the sink) off the 50mm branch pipe as the only vent to the stack?

c) do I need a rodding point on the horizontal run of soil pipe e.g Floplast SP581

Thanks
David
