Not all the water is draining after showering because the top of the waste is above the tray (See attached pic)

its a 90mm trap and the top is 110mm diameter. if the top was around 100mm it would fit below the lowest part of the tray. Any advice appart from lathing down the top of the waste?
 
If you can't physically change the trap to something better suited then your options are a little limited unfortunately:(
 
Looks about right, water level being above the outlet.
 
TBH that's about normal

Was it a cheap tray ?
 
Unfortunately that is typical of how most of the shower traps and trays meet nowadays.
If you can access the trap and waste pipe underneath the tray, then source a trap that fits better.
Also consider the metal type shower waste, as it might be a different size.

Hi all Noticed bad smell in my drain out side put my hand down and it unclogged it for now however I checked my sewer drain and after flushing my toilet a good few times nothing is going to the sewer so don't know is there a blockage or what way it works many thanks and advice would be grateful
