Discuss Shower Pump Size in the Bathrooms, Showers and Wetrooms area at UKPlumbersForums.co.uk.
Small delivery charge to NI, but at under £10, worth it for the saving in the pump cost
Yes sorry forgot you were top of the morning
My two penneth.
First, you need to understand how much hot water you have stored (hot water cyl size). Why? Cos using a 1.4 bar pump will mean twice the time showering before hot water runs out.
Second, It's vital, whichever manu you choose, the whole thing is piped correctly using a minimum of 22mm copper with full bore valves.
Third. Make sure your cold water storage in the loft is at least twice the capacity of the cylinder and that the cold feed it taken out loeer than the hot.
Lastly, re sound. If you want the quietest pump DO NOT mount on something soft. Mount on the BIGGEST piece of dense concrete paving slab you can accommodate. Make sure the pipework is supported and also make sure the flexis have a little play in them when finally in position. The dense concrete will dampen the sound.
