They can be rotated around the pipe as much as you want.
The gripper inside the fitting stays held to the pipe and the O ring is the only thing that moves with the fitting.

Your refering to the radiator valve. The actual pushfit section will not be able to move on that picture. I wouldnt recommend trying to twist the valve at all, if you go to far you’ll get a lot of water coming out.

Should be able to lift it off the brackets whole. Have a helper, buckets and towels and know where your water turns off just in case

The photo link wasn’t there when I first replied.
Fitting will turn on the plastic pipe, but I would just have the rad removed

Thanks to the one plumber who did get back to me (rang 10) who I offered the job to remove and refit, he gave me some simple advice so managed to sort myself. 2 Quick Grips, 2 Planks, Folding Stool and a hammer. Job Done

Lol, it went in the hole of the stool so the rad could rest against it.

Depends if you’re feeling lucky. I’ve never had a problem although as the old saying goes ‘If it ain’t leaking, don’t touch it’ :)
If you do turn it though and its John Guest fitting try to turn it clock wise with the thread, so the fitting tightens as you turn.
