Is there any difference in uses from brass to copper olives...

the only difference is some of the fittings will only take copper olives for some reason. some of the brass olives are thinner and don't squash with some fittings

So you can use either copper olives or brass on gas fittings as long as the olive squashes up??
Thanks for your help by the way..

you can't change any thing on gas unless you are corgi qualified

If you are intending to use compression fittings with plastic pipe then you should only use copper olives. They compress more easily and seal to the plastic pipe.

the different olives do come in to play with brass fittings in LPG due to the possible electrolytic properties caused by the use of a harder quality of brass can't remember the bs no. off hand but thats the only time they are different for a reason
