Has anyone ever heard of the national grid fixing leaks in someone's home?
Got a message this morning from someone u fitted a boiler for - along the lines of screwed down some floorboards and hit the gas pipe.
When I return the message they had called 0800111999 and someone has been out and fixed it free of charge

I should mention that they are polish so something may have been misunderstood

no as they dont have the qualification only tofo

Nah somethings not right there , as Shaun says , they aint qualified

Disagree, they are qualified and it is a matter of judgement. There is no obligation to fix a leak but if it is something trivial an Engineer may feel minded to fix it. Sometimes it quicker and easier to fix than start capping and faffing about with warning notices/capping etc

Hoping someone can help. Moved in to our new house a week ago. The boiler is a Potterton Promax Combi 28 HE. Discovered it was losing pressure overnight and we'd get the E119 message and no heating or hot water until we repressurised. Checked all radiators and discovered a few small leaks which...
