Hi,

I am trying to find the name/type of pipe in which the one water pipe is contained within another but with opposite flow. I have attached a childlike 2D drawing for clarification.

Any help/advice appreciated.

Can't remember, ember the name. But there is a pipe in pipe that can be used on secondary hot water circ.

You have sketched a "concentric tube, counterflow heat exchanger".

Whether that is actually its role in your application depends on details that you have not shared with us. You probably won't be able to pick one up at Screwfix. Try talking to companies specialising in hydraulic/pneumatic sytems, e.g.

HYDRAULIC AND PNEUMATIC SERVICES - Systems Group UK LTD

Don't expect them to be cheap. :)

Hi, I am probably being unduly paranoid here but I noticed under our kitchen sink that there is some corrosion evident on a small section of copper pipe between compression fittings on the hot water feed. There are take offs for an outside hot and cold tap together with isolation valves and...
