kingfisher CF 150 with aspestos flue

Just a quick one... are these still legal Picture attached
I thought they had made the air supply to them nearly impossible to achieve
making them obsolete.
Where would I get the high and low lvl vent requirements for this boiler

so long as ventilation is correct there is no problem

 

that looks like a connaught gas force sevice record sticker on the wall

 

I assume you are a RGI?
If so, you should be able to calculate it, using the straightforward calculation.

Old Potterton Kingfisher 150 (150000 btu) 44Kw if vent direct to outside only needs one vent can be High or Low just use standard method of working out size of vent

 

thats what i was getting at but need to check that air vent as it usualyy ahs a bug screen inside so compromises the size of vent

 

Looking at vent in photo it seems to be big enough, but as you say needs to check inside & out that it is clear

 

Been to a job today that has 2 of these still running and still immaculate. 1 for the swimming pool and 1 for the house.

 

1 sq inch per 5000 btu ater the first 7000 if my memory hasnt failed me

 

Almost right 1sq" per 5000btu in excess of 25000btu (7Kw)

The complication of fly screens reducing free air is irrelevant, in as far as they cannot be present

 

It's not irrelevant I said he needs to check that vent as that type has a fly screen if so he needs to remove and replace the vent.
