Full descriptionYour work might range from swapping a domestic hot water cylinder to installing renewable energy systems in commercial premises. Working with a high degree of responsibility, your duties would typically include:
· working from plans and specifications
· installing heating systems throughout buildings
· inspecting and testing systems and equipment
· fixing faults highlighted by inspections
Weekly WageDepended on age of successful applicant
Working Week40 hours per week

Employer DescriptionWe are an established heating company installing systems in both commercial and domestic premises.

We put engineer skill and knowledge above all else. We invest heavily in our apprentice engineers and offer incredible opportunities to get involved in a range of heating technologies, including gas, biomass, heat pumps and solar panels.

We require a gas apprentice to work on a variety of domestic gas jobs but with an opportunity to work on commercial gas and renewable installations over the course of their apprenticeship. We want to hear from candidates that can demonstrate their passion for continued learning and improvement.

The successful candidate will gain industry qualifications to NVQ Level 3 via day-release to a local college

Skills required
Working in Kent & London, you must be able to attain the knowledge and skills which are important, through training which is demanding

The key personal attributes of good qualified heating engineers include:
· good practical skills to work with hand and power tools
· the ability to learn to follow technical drawings and instructions
· a methodical approach to work
· an ability to pay close attention to detail
· a commitment to keep up to date with industry developments
· the ability to work eventually unsupervised and as part of a team
· good communication skills
· the ability to work at height
· Gain a rapid understanding of safety rules and regulations
Personal qualities
The work is quite complex. You need to be reasonably physically fit, have good practical aptitude and be willing to learn.
As a highly regarded heating company, ou will be required to maintain and enhance the reputation of The Heating Hub.
Qualifications required
No minimum requirements but all candidates must complete the JTL entry assessment or provide evidence of any suitable prior qualifications
