Hi all new member here just after some advice about regulators.

A friend i have done some electrical work for in the past has been told by an engineer replaceing his cooker that his Consumer Unit is too close to the gas meter. I have checked the electrical regs and it says it needs to be a minimum of 150mm from gas meter his is 200mm which obviously complies but it actually sitting above the regulator and almost touching it. (2 pictures attached if they show) i will be enclosing the cables in trunking to make them comply also. I would just like to know if this is a problem with the regulator or not and if it is could it be repositioned rather than paying for a new Consumer Unit.
