hi all just wanted some info what is the difference between the nvq level 2 and level 2 diploma thanks

The spelling ?

Seriously the nvq is the better one.
Diploma more basic.

See many jobs asking for nvq
None asking for diploma

ive already done my 6129 just want to get the nvq part done now. on the c&g site it states the
level 2 nvq diploma as the same thing strange

You will now want to do the 6189 onsite
About 30 tasks and 4 visits.
You will need to be accompanied by an insured qualified plumber.

I would advise leaving it til sept. Bevcause I had good info they are being funded or perhaps make your own enquiries with a few training providers to get the best concensus of advice.
Dont just take one places word for it

Through being bent over by training establishments lol.

I did mine a few years ago.

The funding came out last september , I got it :)

Diploma = no on site experience means you got the theory

NVQ = you have the theory and onsite exp, meaning your fully qualified

Nvq is trade recognised and kept on gaffers desk a diploma is filed in a whicker basket imo

Hi they used to say as a last resort you could discharge the D2 pipework at high level and turn it back to the wall. Similar to a combi boiler. I have just looked back through the regs this seems to have changed and it isn't mentioned now. It now mentions if at high level it should be discharged...

Hi. I need a new toilet supply line but don’t know the size type of the fitting at the shut off valve. It is not 3/8 compression. It is a plastic nut about the same size as the one going into the cistern but has a different thread. Attached is a photo. Can you advise. Thanks.
