Hi there.

I'm a home DIYer with a question (please excuse if my terminology is incorrect).

A tap I have has a wobbly handwheel. On removing the handwheel I found it's the spindle of the cartridge that's wobbling. In off or fully on postions the spindle doesnt wobble, it only wobbles when the tap is around half way on. It is also very stiff to fully close. What's my best way of fixing this?

Thanks for any help or suggestions.

Good point. Note to self, "Be specific".
The top disc is driven by a 'converter' at the bottom of the tap spindle. Its this that often wears and the part where it connects in the top disc. Part of the wobble will also be worn spindle o-rings

I have an ideal vogue max S18 boiler and I’m considering fitting auto balancing TRVs, my question relates to the boilers pump. I see a boiler pump menu for either 70% or 100%, so, is the pump set at either one of two fixed speed percentages or does the pump actually vary speed, (modulate)...

Hi, basic question, any insight much appreciated. Looking to have an outdoor tap in my front porch fed from 15mm pex coming up from suspended floor. Pic 1 is inside porch, pex temporarily clipped to give an idea of pipe placement (ignore shoddy blockwork of booted cowboy builder!), Pic 2 is...
