Discuss Best drain down hose - what do you use? in the Plumbing Forum area at UKPlumbersForums.co.uk.
Please advise on which hose you use to drain down with?
A yellow one?
(Real sorry but the door was wide open)
it was meant to be RPM..
what about the
Dickie Dyer 991866 Drain Down Hose Kit 4pc 10m 11.092
anybody used one? does it crack up being natural rubber
Short length of garden hose onto a length of 15mm copper to the nearest drain.
I use one of these Drain-Down Hose Kit didn't pay that much got it with points from boiler installs, nice and easy to roll up.
I’ll second that. Had mine so long the jubilee clip last week.
The nearest one
I bought an expensive FITT hose from Screwfix (this one, I think: Fitt 30m Heavy Braided NTS Wintech Hose ). Very good. Almost impossible to kink but soft enough to go onto draw-off cocks.
Can't understand why you would spend the money on a non-reinforced rubber hose that explodes under mains pressure and collapses under vacuum when this works well both as a drain off and under pressure! Perhaps someone can explain?
Have got the same and definitely good piece of a kit. Even though the price is quite high but worth spending when working a lot on central heating systems.
Dickie dyer rubber drain down hose as above, gets my vote
Just a garden hose...no problems..
I got fed up with garden hoses kinking, coiling up terribly and getting crushed under suction when draining down!
