hi all,

Did a full strip down on baxi neta tec. Customer reported they were having trouble with e133. Boiler was pretty clean over all. Checked CO readings at Max, min and ignition stage all ok.
Electrode gap was 2-3 mm too big explained this to customer that it would need to be replaced at next service if they have no more problems.

The fault has came up this morning.
Baxi say that the boiler has a self calibrating gas valve working on two solenoids and that could be sticking. They say it’s not serviceable and the only way to test it is CO readings on FGA which I did and it’s fine.

I’ll be back in the next few days to change spark electrode. Any one got any ideas on checks I could run to prove it’s not the board/gas valve/ electrics?

Thanks in advance

I’ve changed the electrodes and checked the resistance across gas valve so that should rule the gas valve out, boiler still bringing up fault. It is looking as though it could be the PCB. As it’s an intermittent fault how would I test it?
Thanks

Can be a nightmare that fault , last one I had I advised the customer to go on fixed price repair , he was there when the engineer came and the engineer put loads of parts on it , including gas valve and board .

Hello, I am seeking some advice, I have a POTTERTON PROMAX 28 COMBI Boiler and I noticed yesterday that the water around the house is no longer warming up. The heat exchanger has been changed 6 months ago, so I do not believe it is that. Does anyone have any ideas on what it could be? Thanks

We run a community village hall and have a large kitchen provided for the use of hirers. This includes a Lincat SLR9 gas cooker which I believe is a 23.8Kw appliance with all six burners and oven on max. This was installed some 10 years ago and has passed all subsequent Gas Safety inspections as...

Hello all, I’m replacing a concrete paving slab patio in the back yard. The original patio used 50mm deep concrete slabs on hardcore & sand. I’m planning to pour a 100mm deep concrete patio on 100mm hardcore. In order to achieve the same final height to line up with the rest of the patio, I...
