Hello,

I am a gas engineer and fit boiler components on a daily basis. Sometimes 5+ a day in winter.
A range of manufacturers, Atag, Baxi, Vaillant, Potterton, Glowworm, Broag, Ferroli etc.
The boilers I will of course try to keep going for my customers so I would like to ask if anyone knows anywhere that buy parts or components? All will have original packaging etc.
I’ve seen a lot of refurb parts for sale so they must get them from somewhere.
Save me skipping them!!
Cheers

I save old oil bits and burners in the garage. Means I can do a cheap fix for somebody. (After explaining how much a new part costs and the cheap fix part isn't guaranteed.)

I wouldn’t use refurb parts. But there’s a market for them, pcbs, fans, 3 ports, diverter valves etc looks like I’ll just have to keep binning them. I do keep hold of certain parts especially programmers and receivers etc.

eBay? Loads of new or used gas parts on there
Yeah I might post on there. Didn’t want to list an item and pay for it before finding out if any companies out there first. Seems like the companies that sell the refurb stuff have “partnerships” with companies
Think I’ll save everything for a few months then throw everything on eBay in one go. Someone must want them!! Pcbs, pumps, diverters, programmers, receivers, fans. Especially those vaillant composite diverters go through them for fun at the minute! Sure it’s only an Oring inside them that causes them to leak!

Not worth it tbh £2 per part

Prob get more at an electronics recycling comp
