Hi all

I wonder if anyone can help me. My Nan lives in Chatham.

She is having problems with her heating. Its a fairly new boiler. Vaillant heat only on sealed system. Was fitted a few years ago.

She keeps losing pressure having to top up most days. Also sounds like she has an issue in her airing cupboard with motorised valve. Hot water/heating working intermittently.

She has had some right numptys round by the sounds of it who dont seem to know what they are talking about.

Living in Bournemouth I cant just pop round to have a look. I just want someone professional to help her get it all sorted once and for all.

If anyone on here is in that area or covers that area and would go and take a look please let me know.

Thanks so much all

Not sure when last serviced

Shes had problems with pressure since it was fitted mate. Orginal installers never resovled it.

I went up and checked every inch of pipework and replaced expansion vessel a couple of years ago.

Haven't a clue, last he posted he was leaving training and going back on the tools but that was ages ago

Found him in the members list, Chris Watkins, London/Kent and he was around earlier.
If anyone gets bored then scan the members list, soooo many names that never ever posted a message on the forum??????????? Well over 70%????????????

Two Chris`s with similar surnames, one I think was in the Kent area and both trained people in training centres unless I`m loosing the plot tonight. :p
Hello what has my schizophrenic friend chris watkins been saying about me now? if I have told him & this other mate, once I have told told them a hundred times not to keep posting under my name!!
I am the one who is the heating engineer, he is the one that does a bit of teaching I believe. Not sure what the other chris watkins does I think it is something to do with unvented cylinders.
Hang on I feel another one coming along soon, i am off. Bye.

Hello, I am seeking some advice, I have a POTTERTON PROMAX 28 COMBI Boiler and I noticed yesterday that the water around the house is no longer warming up. The heat exchanger has been changed 6 months ago, so I do not believe it is that. Does anyone have any ideas on what it could be? Thanks

I was stupid enough not to check the position of the pipes under the tiles when installing a toilet and drilled right through the center of a 16 mm copper water pipe. I exposed the pipe by removing a ~30cm section of the plastic sleeve and a ~10 cm section of the pipe around the hole. Several...

We run a community village hall and have a large kitchen provided for the use of hirers. This includes a Lincat SLR9 gas cooker which I believe is a 23.8Kw appliance with all six burners and oven on max. This was installed some 10 years ago and has passed all subsequent Gas Safety inspections as...

Hi, Can anyone advise as to why the cold water to my bathroom keeps airlocking? This originally happened about 12 months ago and has happened 3-4 times since. It’s an upstairs bathroom, fed from a tank in the attic. The tank is about 8 Meters away and feeds a bath, sink and toilet. The tank...

Hello all, I’m replacing a concrete paving slab patio in the back yard. The original patio used 50mm deep concrete slabs on hardcore & sand. I’m planning to pour a 100mm deep concrete patio on 100mm hardcore. In order to achieve the same final height to line up with the rest of the patio, I...
