Hi,

I'm in full time employment, 28 years old and learning plumbing on my days off with a friend who is fully qualified.

I have been doing this just over a year and want to gain a qualification. I work on a 7 day rota so college is out the question as I don't have a set day off.

I went to see the Able Skills centre in Dartford today. All seems very friendly and professional.
I was thinking of doing the home studies 6035 then the NVQ 2 then onto more technical courses and ideally onto gas at a later date.

Has anyone trained with Able Skills? Trying to gain feedback from people who have trained there.

Many thanks.

Hi,

Did my 17th edition there the course was very good spoke to some of the guys doing plumbing courses and they all seemed happy.

Cheers Steve

Thanks for the feedback. The staff all seem friendly and don't seem to pressure you into anything which I liked.

Aren't able skills the company that do fast track courses? I don't trust those courses 8 weeks on site training that is 8 weeks experience where as on the job applications companies want 2 to 5 years experience the minimum.
