Could the first person to discover the truth about this regards to whether all qualified people will be able to do the work where scrappage is applicable. Or will it be swallowed up by Warm Front and just a few others who have paid a £25,000 bond.

I phoned Gassafe today but no useful information, and no sign of any particular interest.

articals in the media today but i cant find any details.....

Up until yesterday, the local plumbing merchants were telling everyone that you could only apply for the scrappage scheme if your house was £120,000 or less - which bascially rules out everyone in our area.

I have trawled the website and can't say it says that anywhere. We have done Warmfront once, which is a pain as you have to do the paperwork to and fro warmfront - but with the scrappage scheme you provide the invoice, the customer pays you in full, then the customer claims it back - so seems a lot less hassle for us.

The customers boiler has to be G rated - nothing else will qualify.

We have got 2 estimates booked in the diary so am pretty sure as long as you are gas safe registered in the correct areas - anyone can do it.
