Táp is a village in Győr-Moson-Sopron county, Hungary.
In 1588 it was undivided property of Count János Cseszneky and András Farkas, later was in the hands of Cseszneky heirs.
Hi, can anyone advise regarding getting access to the working mechanism within this tap. It's leaking and I want to change the washer. There's no grub nut around the base and as can be seen there's no access via the top of the tap. I'm thinking that the top skirt will unscrew with the help of a...

Hi I have a problem with my flexible pipes on my sink. They need replacing but we are going on holiday so won't be able to get this done till we get back. Is it safe to leave isolation valve turned off on flexible pipe connected taps for a longer period as it will be 2 weeks? Will it cause any...
Hey Team
Looking to fit an outside tap, gone to see what I'm working with under the sink and as you can see from the imagery I've got 2 Hose union outlets already sat waiting for me.

Is it as easy as connecting those to the outside tap pipe, via hose...
Hi, I have a tap in my bathroom which has a slow drip leak. I can't figure out how to disassemble the tap. I think it is a John Sydney model and is about 15 years old but that's all the info I have about it. I've attached a picture of the tap.
Any ideas about how to disassemble it?
Thanks.
Hi,
Just had a new bathroom fitted and have a pathetic flow of hot water from the sink tap. It wasn't great before. I can't get hold of a plumber, but any ideas as to what this might be? I also noticed that the pipes that feed the hot tap go into the loft? I know nothing about plumbing, but is...
We’ve noticed a wet dog type of smell on items that have been in contact with hot water from our taps. This doesn’t happen with cold water from our taps.
Do you have any ideas what this could be and how the issue can be resolved please?

Hello there.
I wonder whether anyone could suggest what may be the issue with the hot water in my bathroom. I have asked four different plumbers who have come to the house to do work and none of them had a clue.
Basically, when I turn on the hot tap on the bath, black bits come out in the...
I have a dripping tap that was getting progressively worse over the period of about 4 to 6 weeks and have replaced with a brand new cartridge on 2 separate occasions, but after 4 to 6 weeks the problem returns.
Has anyone seen tap heads like these? Trawled the internet cannot find anything similar, after removing the grub screw I cannot for the life of me lift the tap head off tried prying with screwdriver but too scared to use excessive force and break the tap
Hi all
My neighbour has recently completed some bathroom renovations and in the process installed wall-mounted mixer taps (previously cross taps).
This is creating a significant gushing sound through our shared wall when water is running through the tap.
Has anyone heard of this before and...
1st of all, hope I will post it on the right area.
In old (around 1930) German book, "Handbuch for hochbaus" (I think it translates as "General manual for construction") by Professor Paul Schimdt I found some intresting taps, but with no explination on how the on/off part worked. I've...
This tap is dripping through the spout, just a bit
see photos, robf shows when closed, robo shows when open and rob3 shows a side view
I don't think it can be the washer. We've given it a good vinegar soaking and scrubbimg.
Any ideas please
Can anyone identify the type or the maker. It's...
I have just had a Franke Athena kitchen mixer tap fitted. After turning it off there is a small drop on the spout.
If I remove this then another one will form at some point later (and times between drops appear to get longer)
This morning there was no drop there so I thought it must just be...
Hi, i have a dripping hot tap on Bramham mono sink basin. I’ve replaced washer several times and can’t remove the tap head to deal with the cartridge. It is a screw cap cover but no additional screw underneath to release tap head. Thankyou
