showers
A shower is a place in which a person bathes under a spray of typically warm or hot water. Indoors, there is a drain in the floor. Most showers have temperature, spray pressure and adjustable showerhead nozzle. The simplest showers have a swivelling nozzle aiming down on the user, while more complex showers have a showerhead connected to a hose that has a mounting bracket. This allows the showerer to hold the showerhead by hand to spray the water at different parts of their body. A shower can be installed in a small shower stall or bathtub with a plastic shower curtain or door. Showering is common in Western culture due to the efficiency of using it compared with a bathtub. Its use in hygiene is, therefore, common practice.

Hi I am running 4 showers simultaneously as I have a small personal training center. But when more then 1 shower in being used the water pressure seems to drop. I am running an unvented 24kw 300 litre direct hot water tank. And my cold is coming straight from the mains. My cold water pressure...
Morning everyone, My customer requires a new electric shower for a holiday cottage. He wants one which will provide a good flow at high temperature settings and hopefully good longevity, Whats your favourites and why ? thanks in advance.
I was called to a house that reported the hot water header tank was over flowing, so I expected a passing float valve and visited.
The valve operated correctly and the problem was more involved. They have 3 showers running from a Salamander 3 bar pump. The pump and installation seem fine and a...

Hi Guys,
I am hoping to get some advice from you to know what to ask my heat engineer to design / install.
The aim is to have enough hot water to run two showers simultaneously without use of unvented cylinder. I am planning to move boilers to the low pitch loft (second floor) and could not fit...
Hi
I currently have a gravity system with an old lead tank in the roofspace, old boiler in hall cupboard and HW cylinder at foor level with a pump under bath to power a shower over in the only bathroom. I think the whole system really needs upgraded/ modernised.
I am looking to add a new...
I am in the process of refurbing a flat in a period house. The flat includes the 1st and second floors. The plan is to put 2 shower rooms on the first floor and another in the loft.
My plumber has now indicated that there is an issue with the water pressure from the mains. He reckons there is...

In my younger days I sometimes encountered half clad females with wet hair who where," just having a shower before you turn off the water".
As I grew older these encounters became less frequent. Now they don't happen at all.
Does this mean people are taking fewer showers.
Hi,
I would appreciate some advice please. My son has just bought an old rather large house. There are two pumped showers fed from a gravity fed cylinder. The distance from cold header tank to cylinder is about 10 metres (22mm pipe). From the cylinder to the first shower pump is about 25 metres...
Good afternoon chaps. Anyone fit a particular model? Never installed one before so would like to recommend one that people have fitted and are happy with.

Just wondering if anyone else has been having issues with Mira Showers. I can't speak to the more expensive ranges as I don't often use them, the ones I am talking about are the cheaper ones like the Jump & the Vie.
The Jump was a cracking idea when it was introduced a few years ago. Water &...

I have moved into a property that has a mixer shower off the hot water, but the header tank is not high enough and the flow is poor. I am looking at a power shower, do i have to have a separate pump(s) or are these combined ones any good? I am looking at the Triton ones, they just look like an...

Planning to install an unvented water cylinder to supply 5 showers in a club. Potentially up to 25 people using the showers after matches, in turn obviously. 5 electric showers was my first thought because there's no chance of the water running out but presumably more expensive to run and the...
Hi all,
I was at a job today and while I was there the customers brand new (2 weeks old) Gledhill unvented cylinder crushed itself like a coke can. I am fitting wardrobes so nothing to do with me. 2 showers were being used and I believe the mains water was shut off, (severn trent I think) then...
Hi. I'm installing a new shower. Bottom left with rear entry. I have 10mm pipe coming from tiled wall, blanked. Inlet is plastic 15mm. Today I bought 10mm comp elbow, 15mm comp elbow and a 10x15 feed end reducer. I thought this would work. Now I see reducer won't fit the elbows? Please can you...
Hey, I have mainly fitted mixer bar showers before. I haven't fitted any concealed mixer showers. Do they tell you how far out from the finish wall after tilling the unit should sit? And am guessing you can solder to the mixer, after removing and plastic/ rubber parts. So there's no compression...
