remover
A staple remover (also known as a destapler) is a device that allows for the quick removal of a staple from a material without causing damage. The best-known form of staple remover, designed for light-gauge staples, consists of two opposing, pivot-mounted pairs of thin, steep wedges and a spring that returns the device to the open position after use. Although a simple metal wedge can be used for the same purpose, and although some staplers (especially small ones about 1.5 inches (3.8 cm) long) feature such a wedge at their hinge end, use of the wedge tends to tear fragile papers.
Hi
Where I am living the water is very hard. The result is my heat exchanger most likely has accumulated limestone. The problem is that due to the limestone accumulation the boiler is cutting out at high temperature, thus not having the possibility to transfer enough heat to the radiators.
Is...
Hi there, my shower runs hot then cold then hot then cold... To prevent i keep my combi boiler on low hot water temp setting. Tested all other taps etc and they're stable (can be consistently very hot if needed).
Suspect thermostatic temp cartridge knackered in shower.

I've got 16 TRV's and rads to change over and move and every one of them has pipe with the dreaded white paint on them, and some will need chrome removed from the pipes for soldering. They will not be going back exactly in the same place, so the pipe will need prepd and the paint removed first...
I have a LIFF lime scale remover fitted to my cold water pipe under the kitchen sink - just before it feeds into the boiler.
This lime scale remover is leaking, I'm not sure if it's leaking at the connectors or from the unit itself.
It's only dripping, it's not gushing out.
I'm also having...

Hi. I've been working on this Alpha cd18r heat only boiler with f&e tank and separate pump on a micro bore system.
They have had real problems with scale and have had a power flush before. The boiler cuts out and red lights on the front appear, and this is preceded by a banging or kettling...

Is it possible, say, when you have a leak around a basin, bath or shower from a hole in the silicone. Can you apply a bit on top to cure leak? Or, do you need to renew the whole seal?
Just wondering which cleansers / sludge removers we all swear by? I know everyone will have a different opinion but just trying to gauge an overall view.
To cut a long story short, after a BG callout to replace a blocked/scaled pump (didn't see the pump myself so not sure) i was quoted £1200 for a power flush and new pipe work (because it was so sludged apparently) to which i said 'balls' and investigated it myself.
After cleaning the expansion...

Hi folks,
Heres my situation, I got a bog 19 rad system, some of the radiators have got serious cold spots.
The system does lose water pressure but not too fast - 0.5 bar a month. I think there must be small leaks under ground floor where i cannot see. Its been like this for 3 years and is...
