nozzle
A nozzle is a device designed to control the direction or characteristics of a fluid flow (especially to increase velocity) as it exits (or enters) an enclosed chamber or pipe.
A nozzle is often a pipe or tube of varying cross sectional area, and it can be used to direct or modify the flow of a fluid (liquid or gas). Nozzles are frequently used to control the rate of flow, speed, direction, mass, shape, and/or the pressure of the stream that emerges from them. In a nozzle, the velocity of fluid increases at the expense of its pressure energy.
Got this from a friend which allegedly was in continuous use for 35 years!!, the (Firebird) boiler was/is running on a mixture of 75% "diesel" + 25% kerosene, the nozzle itself seems to be of a different material to the modern ones, it was spotlessely clean when I dissassembled it, I would love...
Probably been asked before but cannot see where. Inside my boiler there is written nozzle 1.25 x60 W. In an envelope attached to boiler is a new nozzle marked 1.25 x 60 S are they compatible? Boiler is an old Boulter Camray.
Camray 5 (90A) (20 year old) oil boiler, had a noisy fan on the boiler so investigated, just a bit of dirt in the casing however, having removed the burner unit I replaced the Burner Nozzle no problem, old was very dirty and sooty. Found the boiler wouldn't fire up. SO rather than than mess...
installed a warmflow 70/90 bluebird boiler with a 0.55 x 80 degree nozzle.
boiler is only heating 5 radiators in a small 2 bed house.
what is the recommended nozzle size and pitch for this boiler?
Can I change the nozzle size and pitch to use less oil as the flame is hitting the back wall of the...
Hi guys, I'm relatively new to oil and have a question regarding S/ES and H/EH nozzle patterns. I know that the ES/EH are specifically for kerosene but otherwise it appears that an S and ES are interchangeable. This has me wondering if its necessary to carry both, as it seems pointless to be...
What is the significance of the kg/hr stamped on danfoss nozzles, I have a 0.6 usgpm nozzle fitted in my 20/26kw Firebird SE boiler. 0.6 usgpm is 2.27LPH and my boiler output of 20kw at 84% efficiency reflects this more or less. 2.27 LPH = 1.79 kgs/hr (see table) at a kerosene SG of 0.79, there...
well thought I'd try one - thinking would enable me to remove nozz without touching the electrodes - its a Regin and pretty rubbish as the inner spanner fits the nozz snugly enough but the outer is too big for the nozz holder.....ah well ..what a waste
Its on an outdoor oil fired Mistral boiler with a Riello RDB1 burner. The recommended nozzle is Delavan .55/80 degree W
In the Danfoss conversion chart it shows Delavan W alternative as Danfoss B, but in the Riello manual for the burner it shows the alternative as Danfoss type H-S.
Any ideas?!
Been out to service a boiler today old unidare with a selectos burner. Had a 0.85 60 nozzle so changed for a new one old pressure was at 7.5 so adjusted to 8 bar could't get the smoke level to 0-1 it was about 5 i added more air up until the flame blew out then had to adjust back down again...
Just looking for a bit of a sense check on this one. Situation is that I'm GSR over here but have a property in France that has a fuel oil (French red diesel) boiler and so I get someone over there to service it. I've had some issue with it on it cutting out. I found it to be heavily blocked in...
Evening,
My superfire has stopped igniting, It has been intermittent and now wont spark, is there a quick fix or is it a replacement job? Its only 15 months old. I could use a match to light it!
Evening,
I have a rothenberger super fire 2 torch, can anyone reccomed a finer nozzle as the one i have is okay but not for awkward places as its like a flame thrower!
Thanks
they flame on my blow torch has gone totally disorientated it has occasionally done his when I have had some solder drop in the nozzle. Once this was removed it has been ok. But now the flame is disorientated even though the nozzle that you can unscrew is clear. Any thoughts on what's going on?
Hi Guys and girls.
Ok I have a Minor one oil fired burner on a Stanley super star range. the tank ran out of oil and now re filled.
Have bled the pump, good starting pressure at 10 bar. Have checked the electrodes, I have a spark, cleaned the photo cell, attempts to fire and then goes to lock...
Hi all anyone out there know what nozzle is correct for a monoflame minor 1 burner fitted to a Merlin 45/65
any help appreciated struggling to find any info for these ?
hi all got a problem with the above mentioned boiler. i normally only carry out service and commissioning work but have been called to a break down. boiler smoking excessively changed nozzle pump pressure ok air setting set at 5. now motor has stopped you can hear a clicking and then a humming...
Can we clear this on up please?
can you use an EH nozzle if you don't have an ES?
If not, why?
I know you should always replace with the same as the manufacturers say but is there any real reasons?
i know some of you guys on here have ben oilers for years, I've Ben doing it a while but get so...
What would the equivalent replacement be for a W nozzle for danfoss?
have looked on HWOS for the danfoss B but they don't sell them. EH or ES do?
regards
