installers
The Council for Registered Gas Installers (CORGI) operates a voluntary registration scheme for gas installers in the United Kingdom. From 1991 to 2009 registration with CORGI was a legal requirement for gas operatives and businesses throughout the UK, and before April 2010 in Northern Ireland [1] and Guernsey [2].
CORGI registration requires (beside payment of fees) that gas operatives hold a certificate of competence under the Accredited Certification Scheme (ACS) demonstrating an appropriate level of competence and experience in particular types of gas work. The ACS replaced a number of different certification schemes in 1998.
CORGI lost its status as official registration body in England, Scotland and Wales on 1 April 2009 and in Northern Ireland and Guernsey [3] in April 2010, with this role being taken on by the Gas Safe Register, run on behalf of the Health and Safety Executive by Capita Group.

Hi all,
I have a customer who is looking for water heaters in a bar/ restaurant in Manchester. The building doesn't have a gas supply so the heaters need to be electric. Also, as it's a bar/ restaurant, it would more suitable to have a twin heater system in case of a breakdown.

Hi,
We had a new bathroom fitted recently - for some unknown reason, the installers left two dead legs approx 1.5m long each on the hot and cold supply and then proceeded to install the (tiled) bathroom floor over the T-junctions.
I see from the WRAS site that they have some guidance on...
What are you paying for flue bits?
Flue extensions, elbows, 135deg bends I have noticed that I can get them cheaper at screwfix than plumb centre. They are saying it is because of the multifit 2 flues and they have changed them so I had a look at another price for worcester flues and that's...
Asking for some help….
Would anyone be able to tell me what has caused the green corrosion on the pipe in the first photo?
This particular pipe leaked soon after the photo. The installers are saying it is caused by hard water.
But the pipe was installed 17mths before. In my view it is flux...
