heat shield
An heat shield is designed to protect an object from overheating by dissipating, reflecting, absorbing heat, or simply gradually burn and fall away from the aircraft, pulling the excess heat with it. The term is most often used in reference to exhaust heat management and to systems for dissipation of heat due to friction.
Going to be installing some new guttering for a customer & they've a flue from the boiler that vents close to the guttering. They've had a GSR from Worcester B. tell them that there is such a product available that will provide a shield to the guttering whilst not to block the flue.
Anyone...
I opened the boiler this morning and the heat shield fell off and end up with crumbled chalk all over the floor.
I assume you can buy it and cut it to your shape. Can you please tell me where I can get one? Thanks.
Just done a landlords safety check and found the boiler flue within 500mm of the eaves. The landlords gave me the job to fit a heat shield. Does anyone know where to get one or do you have to make your own???
I own a Potterton Suprema 80L boiler
Installed up in the loft in 2002
It went wrong the other week.
Details of problem: Demand for heat, lights flicker, boiler kicks in, flame of pilot comes alive, boiler starts to ignite, splutters, resets, tries again, trips out.
Reset: Try again...

I am going to replace a combi boiler in a property. The flue comes out underneath the facia and guttering about 250mm apart. This is too close but the boiler is about 15 years old so they may of got away with it then. really there's no where else to put the Flue so i thought about putting a heat...
