heat shield

An heat shield is designed to protect an object from overheating by dissipating, reflecting, absorbing heat, or simply gradually burn and fall away from the aircraft, pulling the excess heat with it. The term is most often used in reference to exhaust heat management and to systems for dissipation of heat due to friction.

    Heat shield idea required

    Anyone got any ideas of what to use as decent heat shield to stop flue gases hitting guttering etc. They always look awfull so ideas welcome

    bOILER HEAT SHIELD

    I opened the boiler this morning and the heat shield fell off and end up with crumbled chalk all over the floor. I assume you can buy it and cut it to your shape. Can you please tell me where I can get one? Thanks.

    Heat shield

    Just done a landlords safety check and found the boiler flue within 500mm of the eaves. The landlords gave me the job to fit a heat shield. Does anyone know where to get one or do you have to make your own???

    I am going to replace a combi boiler in a property. The flue comes out underneath the facia and guttering about 250mm apart.
