hi everyone, been doing a fair bit of work and hit a little problem, when pushing the boiler back into place there is no longer room for all the pipes behind it. Looking around it seems a flue extension is what I need. The smallest they do is a 225mm (x200s) but they are telescopic so should be able to slide inside and reduce the length from my understanding. I only need about 60mm more clearance.
So from the pic B is the boiler side and C is from the wall so the exstention should slip in between at point A?
If not what is the part I need to add the clearance?

Also why are the pipes in the way ?
 
No but I’m not commissioning the boiler a registered plumber will be doing that, and it’s due to the addition of all the other pipes from going from 15mm cold main to 22m, 28mm prv pipe from the new unvented tank, an additional loop for underfloor and actually having space between the cold and hot so the cold not longer runs hot for ages as before it ran between the heating flow and return. The result of all this is more space is now required behind the boiler hence hoping an exstention will solve this problem.
 
How far is the back of boiler from the wall?
And how wide is the wall (a cavity wall I assume) ?
The telescopic balanced flue should have plenty of adjustment normally.
The pipework and position should have been sorted for boiler before it goes in.

Yea but surely the boiler is designed to go flat to the back of a wall and no all the services running behind it first

No Shaun, you can fit that boiler out from wall a bit, if you needed to.
The condense pipe can be run behind the rear if needed, for example.
Depends where boiler is installed also. In a garage it wouldn’t matter so much if out a little from wall.
 
It currently has approx 55mm clearance at the top, about 45mm at the bottom,but was pushed hard up against the pipes before. no it’s cob wall which is 16inch (410mm) thick. I did not choose the location of the pipes the pervious pipes for central heating loops, they were already there from when the previous owner converted the barn.

I haven’t needed the extension.
If you ring Grant with the code numbers of your flue and the extension just to confirm.
Am sure Grant UK or Grant in Irish Republic would advise
 
Even better to have a word with your commissioning engineer first. No point doing something that may not work and cost you more money.
