Any one have experience with Lock-Joint Soft-Setting Oil Jointing Paste. I recently bought from hwos
It is blue and non setting.
Looking to use on oil line and flexi joints
 
Thanks for the replys. I have heldite but was looking for something a bit easier to work with.
Will give it a go and see how we go...
 
I use heldite I make a mess of myself but hardly ever had a leak on oil.
 
Loctite 577. Expensive but good. If Heldite didn't resemble tar then I would use it. My hands stay black for days!!

Are you sure that it exists?
PTFE is resistant to oil anyhow!
It is a myth that oil can damage it. I think people assume PTFE is plastic tape, - it isn't.
Ignore the fact that PTFE tape goes slightly transparent when coated in kerosine. I have been using PTFE for last 40 plus years on oil and it will still be good as new on jobs I return to.

Do you ever use stag?
 
PTFE or sometimes bosswhite very rarely, apart from that never use much jointing compounds ,

Yes, I did use Stag sometimes, or similar Redex (or whatever it is called). But generally just needs right amount of PTFE tape on threads and sometimes smear of Heldite on oil fittings.
I prefer pastes for all compression or threaded seals and it definitely lubricates and adds extra seal to thread joints. PTFE tape will run into the joint much more extra and neater if you use some paste you will notice.
 
I use ptfe tape and red stag as i was told by oftec guy in northern ireland, on 10mm copper compression i also use brass pipe inserts to prevent pipe collapsing if over tightening. I have never had a leak with this method. Plumbers i work with at times say haldite is there favorite.
