I've a propane gas bottle with a regulator that I cannot remove. It's a red one with a half turn valve on it (Number 634PR) from cavagna group. Any ideas on how to remove. Bet you it's something simple,

With the fear of stating the obvious. If threaded? Undoing will be in a clock wise direction.

check on the nut. if it has a slot on it, it will be reverse thread.

its a clip on usually theres a position opposite to on which allows it to come of failing that disconnect the hose and take bottle and reg to your dealer who will know which way is which i had the same problem and local gas supplirer had it of in minutes

dosnt look like the hose needs much work to "disconnect" it !!

EEK!

Not even a jubilee clip on the gas hose!!

Defo looks like a clip on regulator. Moving lever should do it.

Good fortune

alright lads relax there is no jubilee because we cant get the bloody head of it, it has not been used but will slap one on when we figure out how to get it off, i also took the hose off and its not reverse thread.

Must admit I had one something like this once. Same problem could not get the regulator off at first.

Unfortunately it did come off but I wasn't watching how it did, just fiddling with it out of desperation.

dont know if theyve changed the set up but when i was at school all the bunsen burners were push fit onto a gas tap nozzle you could light the tap to shoot flames acrss the desks

this looks like a calor type portable fire regulator you may find the lever at the front 3 way i.e on-off-remove and seem to recall you may need to apply downward pressure and twist 180degrees not sure if clockwise or anti clockwise good luck and be careful regards tunpin....:)
