hattersley valve.pngI am working on a flat with a communal heating system. i have found the flow and return, one with a gate valve and the other with this valve (below). I know it can be turned of because some time back i saw a service engineer do it. But its in a confined compartment and with it being on the 10th floor i am a little nervous.

Does anyone know how to do it? Many thanks

Sorry it harder than it sounds

BS5451 is for valves, globe and gate but not sure if it covers balancing

Balancing valve, should just screw in, keep count of turns to close and re-open to same position.

You can probably download the MIs and specs from the Hattersley website

Hello, I am seeking some advice, I have a POTTERTON PROMAX 28 COMBI Boiler and I noticed yesterday that the water around the house is no longer warming up. The heat exchanger has been changed 6 months ago, so I do not believe it is that. Does anyone have any ideas on what it could be? Thanks

I was stupid enough not to check the position of the pipes under the tiles when installing a toilet and drilled right through the center of a 16 mm copper water pipe. I exposed the pipe by removing a ~30cm section of the plastic sleeve and a ~10 cm section of the pipe around the hole. Several...
