Oha harvest it’s actually on old version of rems.. it still has a wire. I’d actually prefer cordless but as long as it works I won’t buy a new one. You can get already crimping machines for a decent money. Definitely worth the penny. I don’t solder no more I used to a little when I used to be an apprentice and when I got here in uk but have changed back to crimping.

I got my first one from my old company. Once I left the country I got my second one from my mate which is kind of second hand. But as mentioned still with a wire. I would most like get a cordless one if I was you. I’m super happy with it. It really speeds the works up, it’s no hazard to the property, you can cut live water pipes / put a valve on and crimp. Had to do this many times.

Very neat.
Is it an 825?
Are the 22mm capped pipes for power flushing?
It doesn’t look like 300mm to the door so yes a plume kit is probably needed.

Hi Scott,
Yes it is a 825. The capped 22mm ends are for future if somebody doesn't have the adapter so he has got an option to flush from without the need to cut into the pipework. It's not really 300mm so I will return and get the plume connected. I had one with me but the bend was missing for the terminal.

Nice work, but yes on the plume kit. Too close to the door opening and an internal corner.

One more thing, seems as your going back, for the sake of your reputation please change that hideous black clip for a white one

The tees sound like a lot of time and money for fittings for somebody else’s benefit!

I actually use the connections too when I do an install as I do not think it's really good to remove a rad to flush. I also haven't got yet the a spirotech adapter so it's fine

don't think it's much over the top but beneficial

I have the spiro adaptor not as good as flushing straight into 22mm though.

Common ground sound good

There are still things I would do better but sometimes the price won't allow for all items. I'd install some lever valves below the filter, deaerator and of course below the scale reducer just for the sake of service purposes.

After talking to you all I added the plume kit and got rid of the black plastic clips

Thank you very much. I love crimping as it is faster, cleaner and eliminates safety hazards. I can also do my works when water is dripping and if I have an issue with turning water off I can also cut live and put a crimping valve on. But as you know everyone likes different things.

Everything has its place. I use a combination of soldered and crimping now. Same as using plastic, not my first choice but it has a place

It's just the way you are trained over the years. I used to solder a little when I started working in UK but i went back to crimping which is what I like even though it's more expensive. I definitely do like rushing my works though as I am not happy in the end with the results. I think it would be fun to have a little race though

Thank you KOP... that’s actually true though. It’s not a perfect install then. Next time, I will be more in detail and try not leaving anything to point out. I love when other engineers give honest reviews. I am not afraid of perfection

I will never reach it but I can reach always a higher level.
