as the title states it smells once it rained. However, the water seals in each trap or toilet is there nothing has sucked empty. Sewer gases apparently coming back but the customer can’t pin point where it is coming from.

Has anyone an idea?
I wanted to put those anti vac traps in to see whether it makes a different or not.

I’d appreciate if somebody could give me some advise.

Regards
Ron

I forgot to add it’s a council property / flat. It’s a relatively big square with loads of apartments. I was thinking that it come from the communal / main soul stack

Two toilets connected but everywhere is a water seal without sucking anything empty. Just the brick wall is slightly open which could bring gases from the stack

I stand to be corrected, but I thought you could only run double junctions vertically.
Flush 1 toilet and go look at the other and see what happens in the bowl.

You may want to spray the junction with soapy water and see if there is any any spillage when the toilets are flushed

I haven’t installed it. I just got here and checked the same thing with gas leak spray if it bubbles up. I also checked the water seals in the toilets but all good no movements.

Are you sure it sewage smells and not other people cooking
I never got there when it smelled but according to the customer it does smell like poo. Especially when I took the access cap off he said it’s exactly the same smell. I am a little baffled but I filled the hole up and tried sealing it off.

Bit of a late reply but can you see every waste pipe? Is there any old waste pipes still connected but not capped off?
