Hi all,

I am looking for some advice on running 4x power showers from one Garden Hose tap. The venue for our event will only allow us to use the outside tap (which has reasonable pressure) but I am worried about decreased flow rate as the two showers trailers will need a 15mm connection each. The power is being sorted by a professional firm.

Is there a pump, or other solution for this?

Many thanks,
James

The only way you could do that is install a break tank of serious size (prob 300litre) and then pump it from the break tank. You will run out of water but at least you could run more than 1 for a while.

As above you will need to store that water and pump from there , temporary tanks linked together maybe and pumped . Kop

You say power showers, have you thought about electrical requirements 4 x 10kW electric showers is 160A on a single phase supply. You're not going to run that off a domestic generator/extension lead.

I love the old "power/electric shower" confusion when it crops up. To us plumbers an electric shower heats up its own water (from the mains) on demand (usually 7.2 - 10.5kW). A Power shower, is a pumped shower using stored hot/cold water (usually ~150W - 600W) (personally I think of a power shower as a box pump shower such as mira event) .
They are very different beasts but so often confused.

J Sampton, I seem to remember you asking similar questions in February about a camping set-up or something.
I think you need to be a bit careful if you are taking on liability for these things of potential danger if you are out of your depth.

Very true, ad he hasn't mentioned any other form of heating, he talked about a 30kw power supply earlier or in a related post and the majority of people incorrectly refer to an electric shower as a power shower it seemed more likely. Good luck running 4 pumped showers from a garden hose.
