Discuss boiler sizing for Megaflo flexistor 500L in the Plumbing Jobs | The Job-board area at PlumbersForums.net

Hello gents

I'm involved in a project to supply hot water to 7 commercial kitchens, there is no need for heating or showers/ baths but there will be 10/15 sinks plus hand wash sinks.

We were thinking a megaflo 500L flexistor should suit our needs but want to know what size boiler we should use. I think the key thing is we want a short recovery time, thoughts please....

many thanks

What reheat time do you need under an hour ?

So i'm guessing it's a case of figuring what flow rate we'd want and going for that?

Ideally, you need to consider both the average hot water demand and also how this is distributed in time thoroughout the day. Roughly speaking the former tells you how big the boiler needs to be and knowing this and the latter you can size the thermal store. Then add some safety factors and future-proofing.

This will be an expensive calculation to get wrong, particularly if you undersize anything. If you are not sure how to do it, and the fact you are asking an internet forum specialising in domestic central heating is your clue as to whether this is the case, then I strongly recommend you get a building services consultant to do the specification and design. This is particularly the case if you are doing seven to the same design.

I would contact ao. smiths I used to fit their products when I was commercial they have a range of products to suit your needs . Kop

Hi guys. I'm trying to identify a toilet model before ordering a seat for a customer. I went to what used to be a Roca stockist (they no longer are) and one of the guys there reckoned it might be "The Gap". I went to the new stockist and the guy there disagreed it was "The Gap" and that he'd...
