Hi,
I have a Glowworm flexicom fitted in my house and like most it has an issue where the pressure sensor gets clogged up and you need to increase the pressure or you get an F9 fault.
Basically, every few years it needs removing and cleaning.
Recently I have notice that there is a tiny leak from the bottom of the boiler since we had a few radiators replaced and the system was depressurised.
The pressure has dropped 0.2 bar in a week due to this and ive had a look to see if there are any obvious signs as to where the leak is coming from, to assess whether I can fix it (am in building industry and have basic plumbing experience) or if it needs someone with more ability to look at it.
After asking a few pro friends ive been told to see if I can work out where the leak is coming from and to monitor it to see if it gets worse.
Its not getting worse, but not stopped. The pressure is at 1.2 bar, which is a little high but that's due to the pressure sensor needing a clean.
I can see a bit of residue on the bottom of the boiler but can't see it leaking.
The only think that I can see is from the automatic air vent. It seems to have residue on it and was loose. Ive tightened it up.
My question is, could this be the leak or if not, has anyone had experience as to where it could be coming from with one of these boilers?
Ive attached a pic so you can see the residue
All the best
Tom

Easy fix for a gas safe engy

Plus the boiler cover is a combustion seal so very dangerous if not re-installed correctly

Thanks for the replies guys. I am not looking for a DIY repair by any means, just wanted to see if just tightening the auto air vent would be the problem before I get someone to come in and do the same?
If its not that obvious, I guess its not that then and ill have it looked at.
Cheers
