Guess you have fun sealing up the end's Cailean...That's a Scottish bath. We cut them in half so we can get two out of it.
No mate, we're so tight that we don't even use water and bath in a length of Marley Deepflow with a big stop end to keep the rainwater in.Guess you have fun sealing up the end's Cailean...
I did a wee review of it last week mate. It's great but has it's limitations, mainly involving access, but I'll use it as and when I'm able to. I'm also a big fan of Yorkshire Tectite Sprint copper pushfits. These are very similar in appearance to press fit fittings and require the same preparation before jointing with a de-burring tool. They also don't need pressed. These compliment the press fit fittings in areas with restricted access, such as under kitchen base units. Just be careful what pressing machine you buy off Ebay, as you can easily end up with someone elses junk. How's the press-fitting going Cailean?
I'm not a big fan of plastic pushfit systems, but the Yorkshire Tectite fittings are made of copper and non demountable. Once fitted they aren't coming off again. They are a perfect alternative to end feed and no flame is required.I'm still into soldering and compression as a last resort, I generally use push fit when pipework is out of site unless flow rate is abso critical e.g. hot and cold services. Always use copper for hot service with secondary circuit.
Tell us more Shaun, pics please.Just need to plan ahead with press rems do some cool 45 degree jaws that fit both novos
Yeah I like and have used them on surface work, however veey happy to use Hep2o or Polymax underfloor in boxings etc.I'm not a big fan of plastic pushfit systems, but the Yorkshire Tectite fittings are made of copper and non demountable.
